Facebook Page Comments and Inbox Support Handoff Checklist

Facebook

During a Facebook Page inbox handoff, the goal is not to share a password. It is to make open threads, permission scopes, and reply standards usable by the next owner. Role names and entry points can change with Meta Business Suite; follow the live Page and official help.

Confirm Page assets and owners before handoff

List the Page, inbox views, and people who can reply. Name the business owner, daily agents, and who can edit roles.

If someone is leaving, plan permission removal before content handoff so old access cannot keep replying.

Document open threads and commitments

Capture unanswered comments, open DMs, waiting-on-customer threads, and promised refunds, reships, or follow-ups. Each row needs the request, last reply summary, and next owner.

Do not rely on a verbal “a few tickets left.” A written list prevents missed replies and duplicate promises.

Align reply standards and banned asks

Transfer tone, hours, FAQ answers, and what must not be promised. Define when to escalate.

Never ask in DMs for passwords, codes, full card data, or unnecessary ID images. For payments or account security, guide people to official self-serve or verified business processes.

Assign tool permissions instead of shared passwords

Give the incoming person task or Business access matched to their duty under their own login, then remove access they no longer need.

If you use labels, saved replies, or ticketing, hand off naming rules and template locations.

Spot-check after the handoff

Within 24–48 hours, sample conversations for speed, consistency, and unauthorized actions. Fix templates or permissions immediately.

Record the handoff date, participants, and permission changes for the next transition.

FAQ

Can we just share the login password?

No. Use individual access and remove it when duties end so activity stays auditable.

How do we hand off a large unread backlog?

Classify by urgency and commitments, assign owners, then take over threads in the system instead of only reporting a count.

Do public comments need the same handoff?

Yes. Record status, whether the issue moved to DM, and the public response line.

Should agents reply from personal profiles?

Handle Page support from authorized work access in the official inbox so records stay complete.
